Thiru Kanchi/ Kanchipuram
Kanchipuram - Kovil Managaram – is about 75 kms far from Chennai
One of the City in South India, where lots of Sri Vaishnavam and Saivam temples are found.
Kanchi – As Lord Bramha wished to see Sri man Narayana Chathur Bhujam, Sriman Narayana advised Lord Bramha to perform an Ashwametha yagam in Kanchipuram and as Bramha performed it in kanchipuram, Sriman Narayana came from the fire of the yagam and gave his Dhurshan as Sri Varadharajar with Chathur Bhujam in which way Lord Bramha Wished.
Sri Varadharaja Perumal Temple
DevaPerumal, Devathirajan, Perarulalan are some of the other common names of Sri Varadharaja Perumal.
Dieties giving Dhurshan in this temple are Varadharajan, Perundhevi Thayar, Azhagiya Singhur Peruman, Haaridhra Devi.
My Visit
It was the day when there was one of the big utsavam going on in Thiruvallikeni and I was requested to help temple employees by adding my service, but two of my friends where planning to Thiru Kanchi, I couldn’t decide which way to go but was very eager to visit Thiru Kanchi and have Dhurshan of Sri Varadharaja Swami . At last lied to my Local Thiruvallikeni friends who requested my service and like a cat moved out of Thiruvallikeni and started to Thiru Kanchi on a Friday night so that we can be back to Thiruvallikeni by Saturday evening as there was Sri Narasimhasimha Swami nakshathra purappadu.
Journey
We started around 4pm from Thriuvallikeni and took train to Thambaram and then from there to kanchipuram in bus. Our eagerness to have Dhurshan of Sri Varadharaja Swami blew away our journey tiredness of standing from Thambaram to Thiru Kanchi.
Felt happy the moment we say the Madhil suvar of Sri Devradhiraja Perumal Swami temple (Temple’s wall). Got down at Chinna kanchi at 7:30pm and went to our Friend’s house and got ready in Sri Vaishnava Sampradayam style in vesti after having a nice filter coffee.
Friends from Thiruvallikeni
As we lied to Thiruvallikeni friends every body started calling us to find out where exactly we are, they tried reaching me in all the ways. They even called their friends who are from Thiru Kanchi to find out, but as it was late evening they didn’t get a positive answer and so our untruthful statement was still alive.
Started to temple
We set out numbers to not reachable state and started to temple, had beautiful Dhurshan with the help of our friend who is a battachary there in Sri Varadharaja Swami temple.
We got a chance to put visiry (Fan) for swami and enjoyed the moment we were close to swami.
As it was late and was Aravanai time (temple closing). The moment we came out after Dhurshan we got Aravanai prasadam, after having sri parasadam of Sri Varadharaja swami we came out and met our other Thiru Kanchi friends and chatted for more than a hour and went to my friend’s home to have dinner and sleep.
Next day
We planned to getup early and go for Vishvaroopa Dhurshan of Sri Varadharaja swami, but as usual due to our laziness we slept till 8am. Then we got ready again by 8:30am and went for Sri Varadharaja swami’s Dhurshan and after Dhurshan at 9am, we started to visit other Divya Desams around Thiru Kanchi.
Other Dhivya Desams
With the help of my Friend in Thiru Kanchi, we got arranged an Auto go and visit all the Divya Desams around Thiru Kanchi. The Auto driver was so religious and took us to all Divya Desams around Thiru kanchi based on temple’s schedules and we were able to cover all the Divya Desams in just 3 hours time.
Sorry I couldn’t provide you all, much more details about the Divya Desams.
After my next visit, I will surely provide you more details about the Divya Desams,

Missed
As we left Thiruvallikeni with out permission from Sri Parthasarathy and other shrines, the time we reached was quite late before which Sri Narasimha swami had started for nakshathra purappadu, by the time I reached my home Sri Narasimha swami too reached in front of my home which is in South Mada Street.
Felt very bad as we missed the purappadu but later went to temple and made our excuses with Sri Parthasarathy and Sri Narasimha swami.
Request
Friends,
Even I was so afraid that the visit to all other Divya Desam in Thiru Kanchi to have Dhurshan, would consume more time and money but it not so. The auto costed us only 550Rs for 4 people. Please hire a cab/auto and go a head spend some time to have Dhurshan of Sriman Narayana in Different forms in different temples for different reasons.
Please write to me for any help to visit these Divya Desams in Thiru Kanchi.
Adiyen,
Parthasarathy Pithan.
